In other news,

Cedar Farm welcomes our new resident Storyteller, Mrs Stanley, who promises to cook up all kinds of story and musical magic over  the summer.

She has moved into the shed beside Cedar Farm’s playground and is under the watchful eye of the animals who have all expressed an interest in making an appearance in her stories. Minstral, the baby goat wanted to be first. 

Story Shed will be offering storytelling and singing workshops for adults as well as children of all ages. 

A well as offering weekly sessions herself, Mrs Stanley will be inviting a variety of guest tellers too. 

Farmers market this Saturday 10am-4pm xx

Croston Open Gardens ..

Croston Open Gardens returns on Sunday 1st July with 16, very different gardens opening their gates and welcoming you in, including a pop up garden on the recreation ground showcasing the exciting proposed plans for this site. 

Again, the Old school will be the HQ for the day, with Morris dancers, a plant and flower stall, cocktails, chocolate stall, vintage fast food van and tea and cakes. 

Each visitor will be given a hand drawn map which will guide you through the village to each of the gardens. 

The children from our village school will be creating another fantastic art installation on the grass by Charlie Holt’s little artist studio. 

All proceeds go to our Croston together charity which supports village organisations and new initiatives.  

Tickets on sale from Tuesday at The Potting Sheds, Thyme on the Yarrow cafe Croston or at The Old School on the day.

Gone potty ...

This week has been mostly spent  planting up pots and baskets for clients ... a job I love xx

All done and ready to be delivered.  If you need help with yours just pop them into the shop.

This Sunday (10th June) sees us celebrating our Cedar Farm Day, there is lots going on throughout the day .. making workshops, storytelling, talks and demonstrations, food tasters, bbq and a bar plus a ukulele band xx

The smell when you walk onto our little shop at the moment is amazing. 

My garden solar powered lights have finally, after six days of thinking about it, decided to illuminate at dusk, the foxgloves are of course stealing the show.

And this little one continues to make us laugh, she is the happiest most independent little girl,  who goes into, what looks like, the fun-est little wonky world of her own when playing, she is a total and utter bonkers delight.

This week ..

It’s been an eclectic week which is nice. 

The shopgirl left the shop, and spent a day with the gardeners. 

Tidying borders and lots and lots and lots of planting. 

In a beautiful garden with a delightful feathered companion. 

It’s was lovely. 

In other news, this little girl turned 11. 

and this little girl came to her new home. 

It’s been fun.
